What's Up With American Idol This Year?

I know Fox has been losing viewers to American Idol. Perhaps that's why they are changing the format a bit. Whatever the reason is, do you really like it? And what's up with Sara, Kara, Shara or whatever the fourth judges name is? Who is she anyway...never heard of her. Plus, it's safe to say that she's full of herself.

It does't take long watching her to think she's all that. I haven't met anyone who thought she added to the show. In fact, the more people I've talked too thought that she detracted from the show more than the silly way they are going about the auditions.

Obviously I'm a big Alaina Whitaker and American Idol fan, but I'm having a hard time getting behind the show this year. It's like they've all went and gone stupid on us!

And when are they going to have a Britney Spears night? I mean, you have a MJ night, a Beatles night and no telling what else, I think they should have to sing something from Britney. She's much better than either MJ or the Beatles!

Alaina Whitaker is a 16 year old from Tulsa, Oklahoma. She is a country singer by nature, though she admits that she has had no formal music training. Alaina Whitaker has often been compared to Carrie Underwood but, for now, these comparisons are more than a little bit premature. During her American Idol audition in Dallas, Alaina showed off her great voice by singing Faith Hill's "Stronger". Visit this year's Green Corn Festival in Bixby June 28-29 and you just might have the chance to see the next American Idol before she's a star. Alaina Whitaker Safe on American Idol?

Alaina Whitaker didn't have her best performance ever. Will she be safe for the next round of American Idol? Only the viewers can decide whether or not we see alaina whitaker next week.

It could have been nerves, or the flu that was running rampant among the American Idol performers, but even Randy and Paula didn't like her performance that well.

Rumor also had it that her and many of the other contestants went out on a shopping spree in LA. Some sources say they scored on gold navel rings, designer clothes, fashion accessories and discount Coach handbags. Whether this affected her performance, we don't know but she has to perform next week if she expects to stay in the competition.

I hope Alaina Whitaker makes it to next week as I think she can really sing. She needs to calm down and do a better job of picking her songs. If she does go on to next week, hopefully she'll calm down and deliver the performance that we all know she can produce.

So will we see her next week on American Idol? Don't know, do you? One thing is for sure, if Alaina Whitaker does go on, she'll do a better job.

She has too. I just can't imagine her being booted off so early. But if she does, she could always appear on one of those video's of the Top 10 Best celebrity boobs or something like that. She certainly could win such a contest!

I believe Chris Daughtery is a fine example. He probably made it further than any other Non-Pop singer and by all rights, was by far the best of all of Season 6 competitors. So how did Taylor Hicks win? Because he had a better stage performance than Chris and could sing popular songs while doing it. Look at where Chris is now at the top of the charts. It's been stated that Taylor Hicks has just lost his contract. I hope he invested some of that money he made in a good financial planner or he'll be back singing in the Honky Tonks and street corners if he didn't! If Alaina Whitaker wants to make it to the top, song selection and stage performance had better please the younger Pop loving generation.

Alaina Whitaker had no problem getting past the American Idol judges. She has a smooth mellow voice that will just knock you over.

One of the funnier moments in this years auditions came when the judges asked her if she thought she looked like Carrie Underwood. Alaina said that she thought Carrie Underwood looked like her!

This little spunky 16 year old has no shortage of confidence. When she sang "Longer" for the american idol judges, you could tell after the first few words she was going to Hollywood.

Alaina has a sister, Britney, who she often sings with. Her and her sister won a contest in Tulsa earlier in the year where the prize was an all expense paid to the American Idol auditions.

Alaina Whitaker and Britney Whitaker are asked all the time to sing the National Anthem at Talons, Oilers and Drillers games as well as before basketball games at Oral Roberts University and the University of Tulsa. Not a bad beginning!
